The Shortage of new-detached houses in Britain means that their prices have risen by more than twice as much as the average cost of a standard new-build home. Smartnewhomes.com, a marketing website, says that the typical new-build home cost £262,163, 3.1% more than a year ago. For new-detached houses, prices have risen by 7.3% over the same period.
